Material assessment and engineering applications

Introduction

National and provincial and ministerial level research and development projects of key materials of power stations have been undertaken for a long period. SPERI researches and develops new materials, new products and new technologies and promote the development of large-scale clean and efficient units. Meanwhile, SPERI undertakes the technical services for metal supervision of steam turbines, boilers and pipe systems, failure analysis and prevention of key components, status evaluation and residual life analysis on materials for key components and safety assessment on materials for key units of the thermal power and nuclear power units put into operation for a long period, and strives to solve the material technology difficulties encountered in the operation process of units and ensures the long-period safe and reliable operation of units. In addition, SPERI undertakes the comprehensive performance assessment and evaluation on localized new materials of power station equipment and promote the application and development of new materials

Business directions mostly include:
Assessment on high-temperature and long-time performance of power station materials
Residual life evaluation on high-temperature materials
Performance evaluation on key materials for nuclear power
Metal supervision and inspection of power station equipment
Assessment on steam resistance and flue gas corrosion resistance of high-temperature materials
Assessment on corrosion performance of power station materials under operating conditions of service
Assessment on fatigue and fracture performance of power station materials
    Power station equipment/component failure analysis
